One of my beloved designers is Tom Daniel. His 75 plus incredible designs of wicked rods and cultural icons were part of my boyhood and personality. I fused many of his Tijuana Taxi details into this custom Hellfire. The top was sanded to a gritty wooden crate style, tained with a smoked lemon ink then pinstriped. I made sure the color looked like something that had been on the dirty streets for a long time. The hand-painted work by Jerry Campbell gets the Tex/Mex point across. This is one guitar I wanted to keep for myself. All Gibson Hardware and a set of Gibson Burst Buckers made this a pure rock and roller without wheels! No matter what side of the border it tours.
