This Parker Fly Guitar for The Heartbeats came to us as a bare wood model. The original goal was to make it look like Dorothy’s Shoes in Wizard of Oz. It turned out so well that a local Harley dealer used it for a corporate marketing promotion.
We applied Ed Roth Rat Fink Kustom Flakes with a shaker over a coat of tacky poly clear. It required 25 Coats of UV Cured clear to bury the flakes which were intentionally misplaced on the body in different positions, some on edge, some flat, and most at various angles. The work paid off when the lights hit the guitar.
